Options for arranging drinks

 

We generally do not supply drinks as we find the vast majority of clients prefer to source their own. We do not charge corkage.

 

Majestic Wines

Should you prefer us to supply the drinks we would source them from Majestic Wines. See:  http://www.majestic.co.uk  We would pass the cost onto you plus a 10% handling charge.

 

Glasses

Usually off-licenses will lend glasses free of charge but you are unlikely to get the quantity or quality of glasses you need.  We can hire them at 20p each for standard design and 30p each for elegant design.

 

Cooling drinks

There are 3 options here

1.  Hire a wine fridge from your marquee supplier (approx £60)

2.  Buy 15-20 bags of ice and some plastic dustbins

3.  Ask you’re off license to deliver wines pre-chilled to the venue

 

How much drink to order

We recommend that you allow a minimum of:

Two drinks per person on arrival

Two glasses of wine with the meal

One glass of sparkling wine or Champagne for the speeches

Plus plenty of non-alcoholic drinks

 

As a general observation we notice that most clients order far too much drink!  Our minimum quantities above are usually about right. Each 75c1 bottle of wine will yield 6 glasses.
