WAYS TO SAVE MONEY
In these credit crunch times we are increasingly being asked by clients to come up with ways of saving money so here are our 10 steps to cut costs.
1. Use a village hall rather than a venue or marquee - it will save you thousands of pounds and there are loads of very nice halls throughout Kent and Sussex including:- Bidborough, Groombridge, Matfield, Ditton, Egerton, Hildenborough, Speldhurst. (The best hall ever is Egerton - it is like a hotel)
2. If you have canapes on arrival a starter will not be necessary
3. Eat later on in the day and you will not need to cater for as many guests in the evening as the day time guests will be full.
4. When providing evening drinks consider the option of a cash bar. This can offset some of the overall costs
5. We can provide stunning cheesecake style wedding cakes so you can incorporate the cake cost in with the dessert. See http://www.devinecuisine.com/apps/photos/
6. If you can provide 4 helpers to lay tables for 2 hours the day before the event it could cut £80 off the staff cost
7. It is usually more expensive having a hot meal that a cold buffet
8. Bucks fizz is a low cost arrival drink
9. Do not over cater with the wine and drinks. Consider the option of buying special offers in the UK on sale or return rather than ordering too much from France and being stuck with whatever is left. Most guests do not expect unlimited, free drinks all day and night.
10. We can usually offer deals or reductions from the list price on functions of 80 or more.
